Description

The Davos is a 200mm rectangular outdoor wall light with an integrated 24W LED housed in an anthracite powder-coated aluminium body. Four LEDs inside cast light both upward and downward through open top and bottom apertures, producing 2200lm of warm 2700K light that highlights wall texture and creates a layered wash effect across façades and entrance walls.

Designed for external installation on contemporary homes, commercial entrances, patios and garden walls, the Davos carries an IP54 rating protecting against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction. The dimmable LED requires a compatible external dimmer (mains-voltage dimmer on the circuit feed before the fitting), allowing brightness to be adjusted from full output down to a low-level marker light for evening use. The 100mm projection keeps the fitting close to the wall without protruding far into pathways.

The anthracite finish is a deep charcoal grey that sits darker than standard grey without reaching full black, pairing comfortably with rendered walls, brick, timber cladding and painted masonry in both light and dark tones. The rectangular form measures 200mm wide by 100mm high with clean edges and no decorative detailing, keeping the visual focus on the light emitted rather than the fitting itself. At 1.1kg the fitting requires standard masonry fixings and a weatherproof cable gland where the supply enters the back box.

Can this be used in exposed locations?

The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashing from any direction, making it suitable for covered porches, under eaves, on exterior walls sheltered by overhangs, and on boundary walls. It is not rated for full exposure to driving rain or submersion.

How is it dimmed?

The integrated LED is dimmable, but requires a compatible mains-voltage dimmer installed on the circuit feeding the light. The dimmer must be rated for LED loads. Check with your electrician or contact us to confirm dimmer compatibility before installation.

Does it need an electrician to install?

Yes. The fitting connects to 230V mains wiring and must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations. A weatherproof cable entry gland is required where the supply cable enters the wall box.
