Dark 5 Light Glass Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Black & Brass

The Dark is a 5-light semi-flush ceiling light built on a 45cm matt black circular canopy with five glass sphere shades in two sizes and two finishes. Three spheres are amber-tinted glass (one at 20cm diameter, two at 12cm), and two are smoke grey mirrored glass (both 12cm). Each sphere drops on a short black stem from the canopy and houses a G9 bulb, supplied with 4W LED lamps included.

Designed for rooms with 2.3-2.6m ceiling heights where a traditional pendant would hang too low, the Dark suits hallways, bedrooms, dining rooms and landings needing multi-point light without floor-to-fitting clearance concerns. The 34cm total drop from ceiling to lowest sphere keeps the fitting compact while the staggered sphere arrangement spreads light across a wider area than a single central diffuser. The matt black canopy fixes to standard UK ceiling roses and the included gravity toggles distribute the 3.74kg weight safely across plasterboard.

The combination of amber glass, smoke grey mirrored glass and brass accents on black metalwork gives the fitting tonal contrast under daylight and layered reflections when lit. The amber spheres diffuse warm light, while the mirrored smoke spheres reflect surrounding surfaces and add visual depth. The IP20 rating limits the Dark to dry indoor environments, so bathrooms and outdoor locations are not suitable. The G9 LED bulbs run at 4W each, totalling 20W across the fitting.

Does it come with bulbs?

Yes. The Dark includes five G9 4W LED bulbs fitted at the factory, so it arrives ready to use. These are warm-white LEDs suitable for general ambient lighting. Replacement G9 bulbs are available separately if needed in future.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 34cm drop works best in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.6m. In taller rooms the fitting can appear lost; in rooms below 2.3m the lowest sphere may intrude into head clearance zones in hallways or landings.

Can the glass spheres be replaced if damaged?

Replacement parts availability depends on current stock. Contact us with the SKU (439244) if you need a replacement sphere and we can check availability and order directly from the manufacturer if the part is still in production.

Is it dimmable?

The included G9 4W LED bulbs are compatible with most leading-edge dimmers designed for LED loads. Compatibility varies by dimmer model, so test with your specific dimmer before committing to a full installation, or contact us for dimmer recommendations.
