Description

The Dark is a two-light wall fitting with spherical glass shades in amber and smoke tones, mounted on a matt black metal frame with satin brass accent rings. Each globe houses a G9 lampholder (bulbs sold separately), with a combined output of up to 800 lumens when fitted with 2x 10W G9 LED bulbs. The black vertical bar extends 18cm from the wall, positioning the globes forward of the mounting surface.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways and bathrooms (IP20 rated for dry indoor use only), the Dark provides symmetrical task and accent lighting either side of a bed, mirror or doorway. The 28cm width and 36cm height suit walls with clearance above bedside tables, vanity units or console furniture. The dual globes provide balanced light distribution without needing a central ceiling fitting, and the warm amber/smoke glass tones soften the light output compared to clear glass.

The matt black finish on the metal frame absorbs reflections and pairs with dark-toned interiors, exposed brick, walnut timber and brushed metal fixtures. The satin brass rings at each globe junction add a warmer metallic note without the high shine of polished brass or chrome. At 0.72kg the fitting mounts securely to standard plasterboard with appropriate fixings, and the shallow 18cm projection keeps the globes clear of doorways and tight circulation spaces.

The Dark uses two G9 capsule bulbs, each rated up to 10W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs at 2700K-3000K to complement the amber and smoke glass tones.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means the Dark is suitable only for dry indoor areas outside bathroom zones requiring moisture protection. It can be used in a bedroom or hallway adjacent to a bathroom, but not within zones 1, 2 or 3 of the bathroom itself.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting extends 18cm from the wall surface to the front of the furthest globe. This keeps the globes clear of furniture and doors while providing adequate forward light throw for bedside or hallway use.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the G9 bulbs you choose. The fitting itself has no restriction, but you must use dimmable-rated G9 LED bulbs and pair them with a compatible LED dimmer switch.
