Description

The Danza is a 64cm diameter semi-flush ceiling light built from five interlocking rings of matt black metal and aluminium, each housing an LED strip behind an opal silicone diffuser. The integrated 75W LED system produces 3252lm at 3000K warm white, with the rings positioned to create overlapping curves that cast light both downward and outward across the ceiling plane.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Danza suits contemporary kitchens, dining rooms and living spaces where a sculptural centrepiece is needed without the drop of a pendant. The 18cm projection from the ceiling keeps the fixture within the safe zone for typical room circulation while the 64cm span provides coverage for a 3-4m square floor area. The fitting supports both TRIAC phase-cut dimming and 0-10V dimming protocols, allowing brightness adjustment from a compatible wall dimmer or lighting control system.

The matt black finish is sandblasted to a low-sheen surface that absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, keeping focus on the illuminated rings themselves. The opal silicone diffusers hide the individual LED diodes and produce an even, continuous glow along each ring edge. The metal construction gives the fitting a 1.89kg weight that requires secure ceiling fixings — gravity toggles are included in the box for plasterboard or hollow ceiling installations. The Class 1 electrical rating requires an earth connection during installation.

Is the Danza dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED supports both TRIAC phase-cut dimming and 0-10V dimming protocols. You will need a compatible dimmer switch or lighting control system rated for LED loads. Check the dimmer manufacturer's compatibility list before pairing.

What ceiling height is required?

The 18cm projection from ceiling to lowest point suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In lower-ceiling rooms the fitting may intrude into head clearance zones near doorways or circulation paths.

Can this be fitted to a plasterboard ceiling?

Yes. The fitting weighs 1.89kg and includes gravity toggles for hollow ceiling or plasterboard installations. If the ceiling has joists or solid backing at the fixing point, standard screws into a ceiling rose or junction box are acceptable.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the ring structure and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of operation, which equates to 10-15 years of typical residential use before noticeable degradation.
