Description

The Dali is a 12cm pendant light built around a curved polished chrome frame that loops down from a circular ceiling canopy to hold a frosted and clear glass shade at the base. The chrome arm follows a flowing S-curve, and the glass shade sits within the lower loop, housing a single G9 bulb (sold separately).

Designed for kitchens, hallways, and living spaces where either a single pendant or a cluster of multiple Dali fittings is needed, the pendant's compact 12cm diameter and adjustable drop between 230mm and 2220mm allow it to be set at the right height for island worktops, dining tables, or entrance hall ceilings. The polished chrome reflects surrounding light and gives the pendant a visible presence even when switched off.

The frosted section of the glass shade diffuses the G9 bulb's output while the clear glass at the outer edge allows some direct light to escape, creating a layered glow. The chrome frame weighs 0.8kg, giving the pendant enough mass to hang stably on the suspension cable without feeling heavy. The polished finish pairs with modern, contemporary, and industrial interiors where chrome is already present in taps, handles, or other fittings.

Frequently Asked

Is the Dali dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit a dimmable G9 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming but the bulb must also be dimmable for the dimmer to work correctly.

What bulb does it take?

The Dali takes a single G9 capsule bulb (sold separately). Most users pair this with a 3-5W LED G9 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for living spaces, or cool white (4000K) for task lighting in kitchens.

Can multiple Dali pendants be clustered together?

Yes. The 12cm diameter makes the Dali suitable for cluster installations above kitchen islands or dining tables, typically spaced 300-400mm apart in groups of three or five. Each pendant requires its own ceiling rose or a multi-outlet ceiling plate.

What drop height works for a kitchen island?

For a kitchen island or worktop, the glass shade typically sits 600-750mm above the surface, which means setting the drop to around 1800-2000mm for a 2.4m ceiling. The drop is adjustable on installation between 230mm and 2220mm.
