Description
The Dakla is an 18W integrated LED wall light built around a layered square frame design, finished in matt black. Three offset square frames create depth and geometry on the wall, with the LED array concealed behind the innermost layer casting 1090 lumens of 3000K warm white light outward through a 120° beam angle. The matt black finish absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, giving the fitting a solid presence against white or light-coloured walls.
Designed for hallways, living rooms, staircases and home offices, the Dakla provides diffused ambient light rather than focused task light. The 280mm square footprint suits walls with clear space around the fitting, where the geometric frame design can be read without competing visual elements. The 60mm projection from the wall is shallow enough to avoid head strikes in narrower hallways but gives the layered squares enough relief to cast shadow lines when lit. The fitting is surface-mounted directly to the wall with two screws through a rear backplate.
The integrated LED runs on mains voltage (100-250V, 50/60Hz) and is non-dimmable. At 18W power draw and 1090 lumens output, the fitting delivers around 60 lumens per watt, which sits in the mid-range for modern LED wall lights. The matt black powder-coated finish is uniform across all three square frames and the backplate, creating a monolithic appearance when viewed from the front. At 2.4kg, the fitting requires solid wall fixings rather than plasterboard plugs.

Frequently Asked
Is the Dakla dimmable?
No. The integrated LED runs on mains voltage and is not compatible with dimmer switches. The output is fixed at 1090 lumens, 3000K.
What wall fixings are needed?
The fitting weighs 2.4kg and requires solid wall fixings. Use two No.8 or M5 screws with appropriate wall plugs for masonry, brick or blockwork. Plasterboard plugs are not recommended unless the wall has timber studwork behind the mounting position.
Can it be used outdoors?
No IP rating is listed in the specification, which indicates the fitting is designed for indoor use only. It is not rated for bathrooms, outdoor installations or damp environments.
How is the black finish cleaned?
Wipe the matt black powder-coated surface with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For marks or fingerprints, a barely-damp cloth with water is acceptable, but avoid household sprays or chemical cleaners which may dull the finish.
