Description

The Dakla is an 180mm square LED wall light with two overlapping white acrylic panels rotated 45 degrees from each other, creating a layered geometric form. The integrated 12W LED sits behind the panels and casts 725 lumens of 3000K warm white light through both surfaces, illuminating the wall and the surrounding space with a soft, diffused glow.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, landings and living room walls where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the Dakla projects 59mm from the wall and distributes light across a 120-degree beam angle. The compact 180mm width suits narrower walls and spaces between doorways without overwhelming the scale of the room. The white finish integrates with neutral, Scandinavian and contemporary interiors, and the non-dimmable LED provides consistent output on standard mains wiring.

The rotated square arrangement means light escapes from the gaps between the two panels as well as through the acrylic itself, giving the fitting a halo effect when lit. The panels are bonded to a white powder-coated steel backplate that mounts directly to a wall with concealed fixings. At 1.15kg the fitting is lightweight enough for plasterboard walls with appropriate wall plugs. The integrated LED removes the need for bulb replacement and draws 12W on 100-250V mains.

Is the Dakla dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at a fixed 12W output and is not compatible with dimmer switches. The light level is set at 725 lumens, which provides ambient room lighting rather than bright task lighting.

What type of wall fixings are needed?

The Dakla weighs 1.15kg and mounts via concealed fixings on the backplate. For solid walls, standard wall plugs and screws are sufficient. For plasterboard, use appropriate plasterboard fixings rated for at least 2kg to ensure secure mounting.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Dakla carries no IP rating and is designed for dry interior locations only. It is not suitable for bathroom zones where moisture or direct water contact may occur.

Does the rotated design mean light spills in all directions?

Yes. The two overlapping squares create gaps where light escapes around the edges, producing a halo effect on the wall behind the fitting as well as forward into the room. The 120-degree beam angle ensures wide light distribution.
