Description

The Dakla is an 180mm square LED wall light built from layered black metal panels that create a geometric stepped effect, with an integrated 12W LED delivering 725 lumens at 3000K warm white. The stepped square design projects 59mm from the wall, with light emitting from between the layers to create both direct and indirect illumination across the wall surface.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, living room accent walls and staircases where geometric detailing adds visual interest without requiring floor or surface space, the Dakla works as a single fitting or in multiples spaced along a corridor or gallery wall. The 120-degree beam angle spreads light across approximately 2-3 metres of wall either side of the fitting, making it effective for ambient lighting rather than task lighting. The compact 180mm footprint suits narrow hallways and smaller rooms where larger wall lights would dominate.

The matt black powder-coated finish absorbs rather than reflects surrounding light, giving the fitting a solid architectural presence against white, grey or textured plaster. The stepped panel construction gives the fitting depth and shadow play when lit, so it functions as a decorative object during the day as well as a light source after dark. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but rated for 25,000+ hours, equivalent to approximately 10 years of typical domestic use at 6-8 hours per day.

The Dakla is not dimmable and operates on standard 230V mains via direct connection to a wall switch or circuit. Installation requires basic wall-mounting onto a standard UK back box or fixing block, with the cable concealed behind the rear plate. The 1.15kg weight needs secure fixing into brick, block or timber stud rather than plasterboard alone.
