Crystal Skye 8 Light Chandelier - Chrome

The Crystal Skye is a 530mm diameter chrome chandelier built around eight 3W LED G9 bulbs, each surrounded by vertical triangular crystal prisms that refract light across a chrome circular frame. The prisms are arranged in two tiers — an upper ring and a lower ring — with rounded crystal elements at the base adding further reflection points. The bulbs and crystals are included with the fitting.

Designed for dining rooms, open-plan living areas and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the chandelier provides both ambient and decorative light. The adjustable 1829mm wire allows the drop to be set between 300mm and 1359mm on installation, accommodating different ceiling heights and table clearances. The IP44 rating permits use in bathroom zones 2 and 3, expanding its range beyond typical crystal chandelier applications.

The chrome frame is mirror-polished to match the reflective quality of the crystal prisms, creating a cohesive metallic-and-glass aesthetic. At 144mm fitting height and 530mm diameter, the chandelier sits comfortably over a dining table for four to six or in a hallway with a 1.2-1.5m width. The crystal prisms are faceted to maximise light scatter, so the fitting produces more visual effect than raw lumens would suggest from eight 3W sources.

Each G9 LED bulb produces 3000K warm white light. The triangular prism geometry creates rainbow refractions when the fitting is viewed from certain angles, a feature more pronounced under natural daylight than artificial room lighting. The combination of chrome and clear crystal suits modern, art deco and transitional interiors where metallic accents are already present.

Are the bulbs and crystals included?

Yes. The chandelier ships with eight 3W LED G9 bulbs at 3000K and all crystal prisms already fitted to the chrome frame. No additional components are needed for installation.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating permits use in bathroom zones 2 and 3, which includes positions above a bath or shower enclosure (zone 2) and general bathroom areas outside the immediate splash zones (zone 3). It cannot be used in zone 1 (inside a shower enclosure) or zone 0 (inside a bath).

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable 1829mm wire allows drops between 300mm and 1359mm. For a dining table, the chandelier typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can accommodate the fitting if the wire is shortened to the 300mm minimum drop.

How are the crystals cleaned?

Switch off and allow the LEDs to cool. Remove dust with a dry microfibre cloth. For smudges or fingerprints, a cloth barely dampened with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystals or using chemical sprays. Dry immediately with a lint-free cloth to prevent water marks.
