Description

The Crystal Skye is a 436mm diameter crystal chandelier with six integrated 3W LED G9 bulbs surrounded by vertical and radial faceted crystal prisms mounted on a polished chrome metal frame. The vertical prisms stand upright around the perimeter while a lower tier of rounded crystals sits beneath the bulb plane, creating a two-layer refraction effect that throws sharp points of light across walls and ceilings when lit.

Designed for dining rooms, principal bedrooms and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Crystal Skye works as both ambient and decorative lighting. The 1829mm cable is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set between 300mm and 1359mm drop depending on room proportions. The IP44 rating permits installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, making it one of the few decorative chandeliers suitable for en-suite bathrooms where moisture resistance is required.

The polished chrome frame provides a bright, mirror-like finish that amplifies the crystal refraction. Each triangular crystal prism is individually mounted on the frame, positioned to catch light from multiple angles as the LEDs cycle through their output. The six 3000K LEDs are non-replaceable integrated modules rated at 3W each, delivering warm white light while consuming 18W total across the fitting. The chrome canopy measures 144mm in height and conceals the ceiling rose and cable adjuster mechanism during installation.

No. The six 3W G9 LEDs are integrated modules soldered to the fitting's circuit board and cannot be replaced by the user. The LEDs are rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation, which equates to over 15 years at typical residential usage of 4 hours per day.

Is the Crystal Skye suitable for bathroom installation?

Yes. The IP44 rating permits installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, provided the fitting is mounted at least 600mm from the edge of a bath or shower tray and clear of direct water spray. Zone 1 installation (above a bath or in a shower enclosure) is not permitted.

What ceiling height is recommended?

The adjustable 1829mm cable allows a drop between 300mm and 1359mm. For a dining table the chandelier typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, requiring a ceiling height of at least 2.4m. For an open living space where the pendant hangs clear of furniture, ceiling heights of 2.6m or above provide better visual balance.

How is the chrome finish maintained?

Wipe the chrome frame and crystal prisms with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or smudges on the chrome, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, followed by immediate drying with a clean dry cloth. Do not use chrome polish, abrasive cleaners or household sprays on the crystal prisms.
