Description

The Crystal Skye is a 280mm wall light built around two vertical columns of triangular crystal prisms on a polished chrome mounting frame. Each column contains one G9 bulb (two bulbs included), with the light refracting through the precision-cut crystal prisms to create a dispersed, multi-directional glow. The fitting projects 99mm from the wall and carries an IP44 rating for bathroom use in zones 2 and 3.

Designed for bathroom mirror flanking positions, hallway accent lighting, and powder room installations where both decorative impact and functional illumination are needed, the Crystal Skye suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher where the 280mm vertical extent can be appreciated without overwhelming the wall. The chrome mounting plate and frame provide structural rigidity while the crystal prisms add a cut-glass effect under both artificial and natural light. The included 3W LED G9 bulbs operate at 3000K warm white.

The triangular prisms are cut to maximise refraction, with each facet redirecting light at different angles. Rounded crystal elements at the base of each column amplify the light output from the G9 bulbs and add depth to the fitting when viewed from below. The polished chrome finish on the frame and mounting plate pairs cleanly with contemporary bathroom fixtures in chrome, brushed nickel or stainless steel, and the IP44 rating makes the fitting safe in moisture-prone areas where splashing can occur.

Is this suitable for bathroom use?

Yes. The Crystal Skye carries an IP44 rating, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 where splashing can occur but direct water jets are not expected. It cannot be used in zone 0 (inside a shower enclosure) or zone 1 (directly above a bath).

Are the bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The fitting uses standard G9 bulbs, which are replaceable. Two 3W LED G9 bulbs at 3000K are included, but any G9 bulb up to 3W can be used as a replacement.

What spacing is recommended for mirror flanking?

For a typical 600-900mm bathroom mirror, mount the two wall lights 700-1000mm apart (centre to centre) and at eye level or slightly above, usually 1500-1700mm from the floor depending on user height.

How is the crystal maintained?

Wipe the crystal prisms with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For water spots or fingerprints, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and dry immediately. Do not use glass cleaners containing ammonia near the chrome frame as they can damage the finish.
