Description

The Crelvette is a round LED flush ceiling light, 50cm in diameter and just 7.5cm high, so it sits close to the ceiling and keeps the room feeling open where a pendant would hang too low. A white steel body holds a white plastic diffuser that spreads the light evenly across its whole face, with no bulb to see. The LED is integrated and gives 3,600 lumens, a generous output for the main light in a room. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms.

We see it as the main light in a dining room, living room, bedroom or home office. The colour temperature adjusts from a warm 2700K, the soft glow that suits an evening meal, to a crisp 6500K for reading or working at a desk. It is dimmable and colour-changing too, so one ceiling light can cover a quiet dinner, a film night and a busy morning. As a smart home light it is controlled by app and works with Zigbee, so it can join a Zigbee system you already have. It also works with a remote control, sold separately.

There is no switch on the light itself; it is switched at the wall. It weighs 1.04KG and carries energy class E. The LED and driver can be replaced by a specialist, so a fault in either need not mean replacing the whole fitting. A wired-in ceiling light like this is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a PDF download. Our tip: set a warm, dimmed setting for the evening and a cooler, brighter one for the day, and the one light does the work of two.
