Description

The Crelvette is a square LED bathroom ceiling light in white, with softly rounded corners and a crystal effect diffuser that catches the light in tiny flecks of sparkle. It measures 33cm long and 33cm wide, and at just 6cm high it sits close to the ceiling, a good choice where headroom is limited. The body is steel and the shade is plastic with a crystal effect finish, both in white. The LED is integrated, so there is no separate bulb to buy, and it draws 18W for 2,100lm of light. Its IP44 rating means it is protected from splashing water, so it can go in a bathroom as well as in dry rooms.

With IP44, it suits a bathroom ceiling, and a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone. A bright, even light over the basin and mirror helps with shaving and getting ready in the morning, and the same fitting works equally well in a kitchen, hallway, utility room or bedroom where you want plenty of light from a slim, tidy shape. It offers three colour temperatures: 3000K for a warm white that feels relaxed in the evening, 4000K for a neutral white, and 6000K for a cool, crisp white that suits tasks.

You choose the colour temperature at the light itself, and there is a memory function too. It is controlled from the wall switch, as the light has no switch of its own. It is not dimmable, so it belongs on a standard switch, not a dimmer. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz, carries energy class E and weighs 0.95KG packed. We think that makes it a practical choice for a busy family bathroom. As a mains light wired into the ceiling, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download, so they can be read before the day of fitting.
