Description

The Cranwell is a tripod table lamp with three splayed legs and a wide fabric shade, a simple design with a bit of height. It stands 600mm tall with a 350mm shade and weighs 1.2kg, so it holds its own on a sideboard or a low table. A single E27 bulb up to 40W sits under the shade, it works with E27 LED bulbs, and the lamp is supplied with an inline switch on the cable.

The tripod stance and larger shade make the Cranwell a taller accent for living rooms and bedrooms, good on a console, sideboard or a wide bedside table. The linen-effect shade spreads a soft, even light that suits reading corners and relaxed evenings. Its raised frame gives more presence than a standard bedside lamp, so it works where you want the lamp to be part of the scheme rather than tucked away in a corner.

The frame is built from steel in either a matt nickel finish with a grey linen-effect shade, or a chrome finish with an ivory shade. It is Class 2 double insulated, so no earth connection is needed, and IP20 rated for dry indoor rooms. Matching pieces are available in the range if you want to co-ordinate a room. To care for it, wipe the metal legs with a soft dry cloth and dust the shade gently, keeping damp and abrasive cleaners away from both the frame and the fabric. The E27 fitting takes a wide choice of bulbs, so you can set the brightness to suit the room, and a warm white LED keeps the tripod light soft and inviting for evenings.
