Description

The Crane Trio is a set of three cast aluminium birds finished in antique gold, depicting cranes in different stages of flight across a combined 100x75cm wall space. Each crane is cast separately with hand-detailed feather textures, extended necks and outstretched wings, then finished in a warm gold tone with darker patina in the recesses to bring out the surface detail.

Designed for feature walls in living rooms, hallways and stairwells, the three birds can be mounted as a tight grouping or spread across a larger wall area to create movement and flow. Each crane has a rear-mounted keyhole or bracket for wall fixing, allowing them to be repositioned without re-drilling if the layout needs adjusting. The birds are lightweight at 2.4kg combined, so they mount securely to plasterboard with appropriate fixings or directly to masonry with screws (fixings not included).

The antique gold finish pairs with warm neutrals, terracotta, forest green and navy interiors where a nature-inspired accent is wanted without literal landscape imagery. The aluminium casting captures fine detail in the individual feathers and the long necks typical of wading birds in flight, while the 7cm projection from the wall gives each crane a three-dimensional presence that changes with viewing angle and ambient light direction.

Yes. Each crane has its own wall mounting and can be positioned independently. This allows the trio to be grouped tightly, spread across a wider wall area, or staggered vertically on a staircase wall depending on the space available.

Fixings are not included. For plasterboard walls, use metal cavity plugs or toggles rated for the combined 2.4kg weight. For masonry or brick, standard wall plugs and screws are sufficient. Each crane mounts via a keyhole or bracket on its rear surface.

How is the antique gold finish maintained?

The aluminium surface is sealed with a protective lacquer to prevent tarnishing. Dust with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes that would strip the antique patina from the recesses.
