Description
This glass crab figurine brings a cheerful splash of the seaside indoors, with two big claws reaching forward and slender legs fanned out on either side. The limbs are a clear, bright cobalt blue that lets the light through, while the rounded body is a deeper navy with a fine gold fleck and soft swirls running through the glass. Small raised eyes sit at the front of the shell, and each claw ends in a neat pincer. It measures 12cm across, 11.5cm deep and just 5cm tall, so it sits low and wide like a real crab on the sand.
Because the glass is translucent, the crab looks its best where daylight can reach it: a windowsill, a sunny shelf or the end of a desk near the window, where the blue glows and the gold fleck catches the light. It suits a coastal or nautical scheme, sitting happily among shells, driftwood and seaside prints, and it is just as much at home on a bookcase in a living room, a bedside table or a hallway console. At 5cm tall it tucks onto a narrow shelf without crowding it, and its spread of legs gives it enough presence to hold its own on a larger surface.
The crab is made of glass with a smooth, glossy finish and rounded tips to every leg and claw. Like any glass ornament with fine legs and claws, it is best lifted by the body rather than by a limb. To keep it bright, dust it with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it gently with a damp cloth and dry it straight away to avoid water marks. We think it makes a lovely gift for a home by the sea or a room that needs a little colour, and it wraps up easily in tissue paper.

What is the crab made from?
The figurine is made of glass, with translucent legs and claws that let the light pass through and a smooth, glossy finish all over.
