Description

The Cosmos is a wall light built around a hand-blown ribbed glass globe shade held by an aged brass collar and stem, mounted on a cream painted circular backplate. The E14 bulb fitting sits inside the globe, which diffuses and softens the light through the vertical ribbing in the glass. The stem and adjustable collar are finished in aged brass, contrasting with the cream painted metalwork of the backplate and support arm.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and landings where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the Cosmos projects 209mm from the wall and stands 337mm tall, making it suitable for standard ceiling heights of 2.4m and above when fitted at eye level or slightly higher. The 150mm-wide backplate covers most single-gang back boxes and provides a mounting point for the curved support arm that holds the globe away from the wall.

The cream painted finish on the metalwork provides a neutral base that pairs with both warm and cool colour schemes, while the aged brass introduces a warmer metallic accent without the high reflectivity of polished brass. The ribbed glass globe measures approximately 140mm diameter and the vertical ribbing creates linear light patterns on adjacent walls when the bulb is lit. The fixture accepts any E14 candle or golf ball LED bulb up to 8W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose the colour temperature and dimmer compatibility that suits the room.

The fitting takes an E14 small Edison screw bulb up to 8W LED. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for soft ambient light.

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb you choose. The fitting itself is passive metalwork and glass, so if you fit a dimmable LED bulb and pair it with a compatible LED dimmer switch, the light will dim. Check the bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before purchasing.
