Description
The Coselle is a steel pendant light in antique brown and beige, with a wide, shallow shade that flares out from a ridged lampholder in the manner of an old workshop light. It measures 110cm tall overall and 36cm across the shade. Outside, the shade carries a mottled antique brown finish; inside, it is beige, so a pale underside sits within the dark rim. A twisted cord drops from a matching ceiling rose. It takes a single E27 bulb of up to 60W, which is not included, so the colour and warmth of the light are your choice. The IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, well away from steam and splashes.
Hung over a coffee table, a dining table or a reading chair, the Coselle brings a warm, vintage look that sits easily alongside leather, dark wood and natural textures. Its open shade faces downward, putting the light where you sit or eat. At 36cm across it has enough presence to anchor a seating area without crowding a modest living room, study or dining room. It suits a period house, a cottage or a city flat with an industrial edge, and because the bulb is yours to choose, a clear filament bulb shows off the vintage character while a frosted one gives a softer glow.
The body is steel, finished in antique brown with a brushed, aged look. There is no switch on the fitting itself: it is switched at the wall, so it runs from the light switch already in your room. It is rated for 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, and it weighs 1.284KG packed. As a wired mains light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Pick up an E27 bulb of 60W or less in advance so the Coselle is ready to light straight away.
