Description

The Cormarne is a pendant light built around a white glass globe, held inside an open cage of curved wooden slats in a warm maple colour. The slats swell out from a narrow neck into a rounded onion shape, so the glass sits at the heart of the wood rather than hanging bare. It is 50cm in diameter with an overall height of 150cm, which gives it real presence over a bed or a table without crowding the room. It takes a single E27 bulb up to a maximum of 60W, and the bulb is not included, so the choice of light is yours. With an IP20 rating it belongs indoors, in a dry room.

We would hang it in a bedroom, where the maple tone sits happily beside linen bedding, pale timber and soft greys, or over a dining table, where a 50cm shade gives the middle of the table a clear focus. It suits anyone drawn to natural materials who still wants a light that looks properly finished, because the satin nickel canopy adds a clean metal note against the wood.
