Description

The Copillos is a five-light ceiling light built around a round black steel canopy, with short arms reaching out to five cylindrical shades in smoked glass. The shades are vaporised glass in a black-transparent tint, so each one reads as a dark, glossy drum while unlit and softens to a warm glow once lit. It measures 18cm high and 65.5cm across, which keeps it close to the ceiling while spreading light over a wide area. Each shade holds an integrated LED, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in dry rooms.

That low profile makes it a good choice for a living room, dining room or bedroom where a hanging pendant would sit too low, and the wide spread suits a larger room. Each of the five lights gives 750 lumens at 3000K, a warm light that feels relaxed in the evening and kind to wood and soft furnishings. Because it is dimmable, you can run it bright for reading or a dinner with friends and turn it low for a quiet night, so one fitting covers both jobs. The black frame and smoked glass sit comfortably with dark woods, grey walls and chrome or brass accents.

The body is steel with a black finish, and small round studs hold each glass cylinder in place on its arm. There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall, so you control it from the room's light switch. Each of the five LEDs is rated 5.4W, the fitting runs at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and it carries energy class E. Glass is easy to wipe clean, so a soft, dry cloth keeps the shades clear and bright. Packed, it weighs 4.69KG. As a wired-in mains light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download.
