Description

The Cooper is a 230mm curved wall light with a faux silk ivory shade wrapped around an aged brass back plate, taking a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately). The shade forms a half-moon profile that projects 128mm from the wall, with the fabric diffusing light both upward and downward while the brass back plate reflects additional warmth into the room.

Designed for hallways, bedroom reading positions, landing areas and alcoves where a 190mm-wide fitting suits the available wall space, the Cooper provides ambient rather than task lighting. The curved shade softens direct bulb glare while the open top and bottom allow light to wash both the ceiling and floor, visually lengthening narrow corridors or low-ceilinged spaces. The aged brass finish carries a warm, slightly tarnished patina that pairs with traditional brass door furniture, warmer wood tones and period-style interiors.

The faux silk shade is stretched taut over an internal frame, presenting a smooth ivory surface with a subtle texture visible when backlit. The aged brass back plate is fixed to the wall with concealed screws and the shade clips onto the plate from the front, allowing the fabric to be removed for cleaning or bulb changes without removing the fitting from the wall. At 230mm tall and 190mm wide the Cooper sits comfortably between typical door frame widths and picture rail heights without dominating smaller wall sections.

The Cooper takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient hallway or bedroom lighting.

Can the shade be removed for cleaning?

Yes. The faux silk shade clips onto the aged brass back plate from the front and can be removed without unscrewing the back plate from the wall. The fabric can be gently dusted or wiped with a dry microfibre cloth.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting projects 128mm from the wall surface to the outer edge of the curved shade. This makes it suitable for hallways and landing areas where there is clearance for the shade to sit proud of the wall without obstructing movement.

Is the aged brass finish lacquered?
