Description
The Cooper is an IP54-rated outdoor wall light with an integrated 20W LED module and PIR motion sensor, finished in matt black. The light head tilts on a horizontal axis, allowing the 1700-lumen beam to be directed up, down, or straight ahead depending on the mounting position and coverage needed. The PIR sensor sits at the base of the mounting bracket and responds to movement within its detection zone, automatically switching the light on when motion is detected.
Designed for exterior door surrounds, porch areas, garage entrances and side passages where automatic security lighting is needed, the Cooper combines directed flood illumination with hands-free activation. The 3000K warm white colour temperature sits between security flood white and decorative warm amber, providing bright functional light without the harsh cast of cooler LEDs. The 120-degree beam angle covers a wide area once the head is angled correctly.
The matt black aluminium body measures 167mm wide by 100mm tall with a 212mm projection from the wall once fitted, giving it a compact presence that suits standard residential exterior walls without dominating smaller doorways. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for UK weather exposure on walls with overhead shelter or open mounting where rain hits from the side. The non-dimmable LED runs on standard 230V mains and draws 20W when active.

Frequently Asked
Can the PIR sensor be adjusted or disabled?
The PIR sensor is built into the fitting and activates automatically when motion is detected. Sensor sensitivity and detection range are typically factory-set on integrated PIR fittings like the Cooper. To disable the motion sensor function, the light would need to be wired to a switched circuit and left permanently on via the switch.
What IP rating does it carry?
IP54. The first digit (5) indicates protection against dust ingress sufficient for normal outdoor use. The second digit (4) indicates protection against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for walls with overhead shelter or open mounting where rain exposure is moderate.
How is the light head adjusted?
The head tilts on a horizontal axis at the point where it joins the wall bracket. Once mounted, loosen the adjustment joint, tilt the head to the desired angle (upward for wash lighting, downward for ground coverage, or straight ahead for path illumination), then tighten to lock the position.
Is the LED replaceable?
No. The 20W LED module is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of use, which equates to around 10 years at 8 hours per night. The 3-year warranty covers LED failure within that period.
