Description

The Cooper Medium is a curved wall light built around a 290mm-wide ivory faux silk shade that wraps in a half-cylinder form around a central aged brass back plate. The shade conceals a single E27 bulb fitting (sold separately) rated up to 60W, diffusing light evenly across the front and sides of the fixture while the brass plate reflects additional light back into the room.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, and living room accent walls, the Cooper mounts 128mm from the wall and provides ambient rather than directed light. The curved shade and 230mm height suit installation either side of a bed as reading lights, flanking a hallway mirror, or spaced along a corridor where multiple fixtures are needed. The fitting works well with warm-white LED filament bulbs in the 2700K-3000K range where the brass tone and ivory shade complement each other.

The aged brass finish carries a darker, warmer patina than polished brass, with subtle tonal variation across the metal surface that suits traditional, transitional and warmer-toned contemporary interiors. The faux silk shade is a synthetic woven fabric with a fine vertical ribbing visible when the light is on, which softens the bulb outline without fully obscuring it. The shade measures 290mm wide by 230mm high and is permanently attached to the metal back plate.

What bulb does the Cooper take?

The fitting takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb in the 6-10W range at 2700K-3000K to complement the aged brass and ivory tones.

Can the shade be removed or replaced?

The faux silk shade is permanently attached to the metal back plate and cannot be removed or replaced separately. The entire fitting would need to be replaced if the shade becomes damaged.

What wall clearance is needed?

The fitting projects 128mm from the wall once installed. Allow additional clearance if the wall light will be positioned near furniture, door frames or where people walk past regularly to avoid the shade being knocked.

Is the Cooper dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb used. If you fit a dimmable LED bulb and connect the wall light to a compatible LED dimmer switch, the light output can be dimmed. Standard non-dimmable bulbs will not work with dimmers.
