Description

The Cool is a 1810mm floor lamp built around a curved matt white shade housing an opal white acrylic diffuser, supported on a slender central stem and weighted circular base. Two E27 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the diffuser, casting light upwards through the opal material to produce soft ambient illumination rather than directional task light.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and hallways where general ambient light is needed, the 520mm shade diameter gives enough presence to work as a standalone light source in a reading corner or beside a sofa without dominating the floor space. The curved profile of the shade creates a sculptural form when viewed from any angle. The lamp works on UK 220-240V mains and is compatible with dimmer switches when fitted with dimmable LED bulbs.

The matt white finish on the shade and base absorbs reflections and pairs with both neutral and coloured interiors, while the opal diffuser prevents glare from the exposed bulbs. At 22.5kg the lamp has a substantial footprint that resists tipping on carpets and hard floors. The base diameter is approximately 380mm, requiring a clear floor area around the lamp for the tripod-style foot. The stem is fixed height with no adjustment.
