Description

The Knightsbridge GU10 track spotlight is a cylindrical aluminium spotlight head with a brushed chrome finish, designed to clip onto standard UK track lighting systems. The spotlight accepts a single GU10 lamp (sold separately) and rotates 350° on its mounting bracket while tilting 80° vertically, allowing light to be directed to specific features, worktops, or wall art.

Designed for both accent and task lighting in kitchens, retail spaces, galleries and living areas, the spotlight pairs with track systems to create adjustable multi-head lighting layouts without rewiring. The brushed chrome finish provides a neutral metallic tone that suits modern, industrial and minimalist interiors. The 56mm diameter head and 163mm total projection from the track rail mean the spotlight sits close to the ceiling while projecting enough to avoid casting shadows on vertical surfaces directly below the track.

The aluminium body keeps the fitting lightweight at under 150g per head, allowing multiple spotlights to be mounted on a single track run without overloading the ceiling fixing. The GU10 fitting accepts both halogen and LED retrofit lamps up to 40W maximum, with dimmer compatibility dependent on the lamp type chosen. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only.

What track system does this spotlight fit?

The spotlight uses a standard UK single-circuit track connector and fits Knightsbridge and most other standard track systems available in the UK market. The plastic connector clips into the track rail and locks with a quarter-turn.

Is the spotlight dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the GU10 lamp you install. Most dimmable LED GU10 lamps work with standard LED-compatible dimmers, while halogen GU10 lamps dim on traditional resistive dimmers. Check the lamp specification before pairing with a dimmer.

What bulb should I use?

The spotlight accepts any GU10 lamp up to 40W maximum. Most users pair this with a 5-7W LED GU10 in either warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient accent lighting or cool white (4000K) for task lighting in kitchens and workspaces. Lamps are sold separately.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the spotlight is suitable for dry indoor locations only and should not be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms, or any location where it may be exposed to moisture or steam.
