Description

The Coniston is a 480mm semi-flush ceiling light built around an antique brass circular frame holding eight E14 lamp holders, each surrounded by cascading rows of faceted clear crystal droplets. The crystals form a dense, layered dome that sits 270mm below the ceiling rose, refracting light from the bulbs into scattered points across the room when lit.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.7m, the Coniston provides both ambient light and decorative presence without dropping as low as a full pendant. The semi-flush mounting keeps the fitting closer to the ceiling than a chandelier while still allowing the crystal rows to catch light. The 480mm diameter suits rooms between 12-18m² where a single central fitting provides primary lighting.

The antique brass finish shows subtle darkening and tonal variation across the frame, giving the metalwork a warmer, less reflective appearance than polished brass. This pairs well with traditional interiors, warm-toned colour schemes, dark wood furniture and rooms where polished chrome or nickel would feel too clinical. At 9.1kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixings rated for the weight, and the crystal rows need occasional dusting with a soft brush to maintain clarity.
