Coniston 6 Light Crystal Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Antique Brass

The Coniston is a 600mm semi-flush ceiling light built around an antique brass ring frame with six E14 bulb fittings (bulbs sold separately), surrounded by multiple rows of faceted clear crystal. The crystals hang in a dense curtain formation around the entire circumference, refracting light from the central bulbs and casting prismatic reflections across walls and ceilings when lit.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m, the 310mm drop positions the fitting close enough to the ceiling to suit standard-height living rooms, dining rooms and bedroom ceilings without obstructing head clearance, while still providing enough separation for the crystals to catch and disperse light effectively. The six E14 fittings allow total wattage control by bulb choice — six 6W LEDs at 2700K provide soft ambient light suitable for living spaces, while six 10W bulbs increase output for dining or kitchen use.

The antique brass finish on the frame sits between polished brass and darker bronze, showing a warmer, slightly tarnished tone that pairs with traditional, classical and warm-toned contemporary interiors. The crystals are individually faceted to catch light at different angles, creating movement as viewers walk around the room. Is the Coniston dimmable?

Yes, if you fit dimmable E14 bulbs. The fitting itself has no dimming function built in — dimmer compatibility depends on pairing it with appropriate dimmable LED or halogen bulbs and a compatible wall dimmer switch rated for the total wattage.

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The Coniston takes six E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each up to 20W maximum. Bulbs are not included. Most users fit warm-white LED candle or golf-ball bulbs between 4W and 10W at 2700K-3000K colour temperature.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 310mm drop from ceiling to bottom of the crystal surround works best in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m. In lower-ceilinged rooms the crystals may feel visually heavy; in very high-ceilinged rooms the fitting may appear undersized.

How is the crystal maintained?

Individual crystals can be wiped gently with a dry microfibre cloth while the fitting is switched off and cool. For deeper cleaning, crystals can be removed from their hooks and washed in warm soapy water, rinsed, dried and re-hung. The brass frame can be dusted or wiped with a damp cloth — avoid abrasive cleaners that may strip the antique finish.
