The Coniston is a 950mm diameter flush crystal ceiling light built on a polished chrome circular frame, fitted with 15 E14 bulb holders arranged across multiple tiers. Clear faceted crystal pieces cover the entire surface, creating a cascading dome structure that sits 415mm from the ceiling once installed. When lit, the crystals refract and multiply the light from each bulb, producing a dispersed sparkle across the entire fitting.

Designed for rooms with standard or lower ceiling heights where a chandelier drop would intrude, the Coniston provides decorative crystal lighting without the need for suspension. The 950mm width suits living rooms, dining rooms and entrance halls in the 18-25m² range, where the flush fitting provides ambient illumination without reducing headroom. The polished chrome frame contrasts with the clear crystal, giving the fitting definition when viewed from below and catching daylight reflections during the day.

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The Coniston takes 15 x E14 small Edison screw bulbs, up to 20W each. Bulbs are not included. Most installations use 6W LED candle bulbs in warm white (3000K) for ambient residential lighting.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The flush-mount design sits 415mm from the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights where a pendant or chandelier drop would reduce headroom. The 950mm diameter requires adequate ceiling area to avoid visual crowding in smaller rooms.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, if paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself does not restrict dimming — dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen and the dimmer model installed.

How is the 35.4kg weight supported during installation?

The fitting must be fixed into a ceiling joist or suitable load-bearing anchor capable of supporting at least 40kg. Installation onto plasterboard alone is not safe. A qualified electrician should assess the ceiling structure before fitting.
