Description

A deep ring of French gold carries clear crystal around its full circumference, sitting close to the ceiling so it reads as one bright band rather than a hanging piece. Fifteen candle lamps sit inside the ring on E14 sockets, spread evenly around it so light leaves in all directions and the crystal catches it from every angle. At 95cm across, it is a wide fitting that needs a room with the floor space to answer it.

This is one we reach for in a hall or over a stairwell landing where a chandelier would hang too low, and it works equally well in a large bedroom or a dining room with a lower ceiling. The drop is shallow, so the room keeps its head height while still getting the sparkle of a crystal piece. Lit in this quantity, the small lamps give a spread of soft light rather than one hard source, and it will dim if you fit dimmable lamps and a suitable dimmer.

The frame is metal in a warm French gold finish, dressed with clear Diyas Select crystal. Dust it with a soft brush or a dry cloth; if the crystal dulls, work over the pieces with a barely damp cloth once the power is off and the lamps are cold, then dry them. It carries a one year warranty. Lamps are chosen separately, and we would use LED candles to keep heat and running costs down. The range runs through smaller flush rings and a linear version, in polished chrome and antique brass as well as this gold, so a hall and a landing can be matched without repeating the same size.
