Coniston 6 Light Crystal Flush Ceiling Light - Antique Brass

Clear crystal is threaded in tiers across a broad antique brass frame here, held close enough to the ceiling to keep a room feeling open. Six candle lamps sit inside the ring, so the light returns through the crystal from several points at once rather than from one bright centre. At 60cm across it reads as a generous circle with very little drop, and the brass warms the whole thing, taking the chill off the clear cut crystal. Lit, it scatters small points of light onto the surrounding ceiling; unlit, it still holds its shape as a piece of jewellery overhead.

It suits rooms where a chandelier would simply be in the way: a dining room with a lower ceiling, a wide hallway, a principal bedroom, a landing that wants some presence at the top of the stairs. It is one we reach for where a pendant would hang too low over a table or into a stairwell. It needs an earthed supply, and it will dim well if you fit dimmable lamps and pair them with a compatible dimmer, which is worth doing where you want the crystal glinting rather than glaring.

The frame is metal in an antique brass finish, hung with clear faceted crystal, and the heft of it tells you the parts are solid rather than thin plated trim. For upkeep, take each crystal in turn with a dry lint free cloth, working your way round the ring, and keep anything damp away from the brass. It carries a one year warranty. Which lamps should I buy for it?
It takes six E14 candle lamps, up to 20W each. We would fit LED candles in the C35 shape, and dimmable ones if the fitting is going on a dimmer.

How far does it hang below the ceiling?
The overall height is 300mm, with the main body accounting for 190mm of that, so it sits close and works in rooms where a pendant would be too low.

Is it dimmable?
Yes, provided you use dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer. Neither the lamps nor a dimmer come with it.

How wide is it, and what size room does that suit?
It measures 600mm across, which sits comfortably over a four to six seat dining table or in the middle of an average bedroom or hall.

How do I clean the crystal?
Switch off at the wall and let the lamps go cold, then wipe each piece with a dry lint free cloth. Avoid sprays and polishes, as they can mark the antique brass.

Can I match it with other Coniston fittings?
