The Coniston is a 700mm flush crystal ceiling light built on a rectangular polished chrome bar frame supporting cascading rows of cut crystal droplets. Five E14 bulbs sit behind the crystal layers, each rated up to 20W, casting light through and around the cut surfaces to produce refracted patterns across walls and ceilings when lit.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.8m, the Coniston's 700mm x 300mm footprint suits spaces where a linear flush fitting is needed above a dining table, console table or central lounge area. The 235mm projection from the ceiling means the fitting works in rooms where a traditional chandelier would hang too low. The 13.5kg weight requires secure fixing to a joist or ceiling plate.

The polished chrome frame reflects ambient light during the day and provides high-contrast definition against the clear crystal when the fitting is switched on. Each crystal droplet is individually hung, creating depth and movement as light catches the facets from different angles. The linear form distributes light evenly along the 700mm length rather than concentrating it in a single central point, which suits rectangular dining tables and long narrow hallways better than a circular flush fitting would.

The fitting accepts dimmable E14 bulbs (sold separately), allowing the light level to be adjusted from full output for task lighting to low ambient glow for evening relaxation. What bulbs does it take?

The Coniston takes five E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each up to 20W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for comfortable ambient light.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and pair the fitting with a compatible dimmer switch. The crystal structure remains visually effective even at low dimmed levels.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 235mm projection suits ceiling heights between 2.3m and 2.8m. Lower ceilings risk the fitting feeling too close; higher ceilings may benefit from a semi-flush or pendant fitting instead.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the fitting and allow bulbs to cool completely. Wipe each crystal droplet with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners that can leave residue on cut surfaces.
