Description
The Coniston is a 700mm bar-style crystal flush ceiling light with five E14 bulb fittings housed inside an antique brass rectangular frame, supporting multiple tiers of faceted clear crystal droplets. The crystals cascade in rows beneath the brass bar, creating a layered curtain of faceted glass that catches and reflects light in all directions when the bulbs are lit.
Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.2-2.6m where a pendant would hang too low, the Coniston provides the visual presence of a chandelier in a flush-mount format. The 700mm length works above dining tables for 6-8 people, over kitchen islands, or in hallways and bedrooms where the linear shape matches the proportions of the space. The 235mm drop from ceiling to lowest crystal sits close enough to avoid head-height issues while still giving the crystals room to move and reflect light.
The antique brass finish has a soft, aged patina that pairs with warm wood tones, heritage furniture and traditional interiors without the high-shine intensity of polished brass. Each crystal droplet is facet-cut to maximise light refraction, and the tiered arrangement means the lower crystals catch light bouncing off the upper rows, compounding the sparkle effect. At 13.5kg the fitting needs secure fixing into ceiling joists or a reinforced back plate on plasterboard ceilings.
The five E14 bulbs (sold separately) are hidden inside the brass frame, so only the glow through the crystals is visible rather than exposed filaments. Pairing the fitting with dimmable LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K gives control over brightness and maintains the warm character of the antique brass.

Frequently Asked
Is this suitable for low ceilings?
Yes. The 235mm drop makes it appropriate for ceiling heights from 2.2m upwards, where a pendant chandelier would hang too low. The flush-mount design keeps the crystals close to the ceiling while still allowing enough space for light refraction.
What bulbs does it take?
The Coniston takes five E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 20W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K for warm light that complements the antique brass finish.
Can it be dimmed?
Yes, if paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming, but the bulbs you choose must also be rated as dimmable.
How is the weight supported?
At 13.5kg the Coniston needs secure ceiling fixing. On solid ceilings, fix directly into joists. On plasterboard ceilings, use a reinforced back plate or cavity fixings rated for the weight. Professional installation is recommended.
