Description

The Cone is a 4-light flush ceiling light with four tapered opal glass shades mounted on a polished chrome square backplate measuring 270mm × 270mm. Each shade houses a G9 bulb (included), and the complete fitting projects just 100mm from the ceiling, making it suitable for bathrooms and rooms with lower ceiling heights where headroom matters. The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zone 2, protecting the electrical components from moisture and splashes.

Designed for bathrooms, ensuites, cloakrooms and hallways, the Cone provides even ambient light across the room rather than a single central point. The four glass shades diffuse the light outward and downward, reducing harsh shadows on mirrors and countertops. The flush profile keeps the fitting unobtrusive, while the polished chrome frame pairs with standard bathroom taps, towel rails and shower fittings in matching finishes.

The opal glass softens the bulb output and creates a consistent warm white glow when paired with standard G9 halogen or LED bulbs. Each shade is separately fixed to the chrome backplate, allowing individual replacement if needed. The polished chrome finish shows fingerprints more readily than brushed or satin finishes, but wipes clean with a dry microfibre cloth. At 2.5kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a joist or ceiling rose capable of supporting the weight.

Does the Cone come with bulbs?

Yes. Four G9 bulbs are included with the fitting. The maximum wattage per bulb is 40W, which allows for either halogen or LED G9 bulbs.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

Yes. The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zone 2, which covers areas outside the shower enclosure or bath zone but still subject to moisture and splashes. It is not rated for direct installation above a bath or inside a shower enclosure (which require IP65 or higher).

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, provided dimmable G9 bulbs are fitted. The fixture itself is dimmer-compatible, but the bulbs must also be rated as dimmable. Check bulb packaging before purchasing replacements.

What ceiling fixing does it need?

At 2.5kg the Cone requires fixing to a ceiling joist, batten or ceiling rose capable of supporting the weight. Standard plasterboard alone will not hold the fitting securely without additional support.
