The Colorado is a 250mm-diameter spiral crystal pendant light with a cascading arrangement of faceted crystal droplets descending 920mm from a circular polished chrome canopy. A single GU10 bulb (sold separately) sits within the canopy, casting light through and around the crystal strands that spiral downward in a helical formation. Each crystal droplet is precision-cut with multiple facets, refracting the bulb's light into dispersed highlights across surrounding walls and floors.

Designed for double-height entrance halls, staircases with open wells, and hallways with ceiling heights above 3m, the Colorado works both as a standalone statement and in grouped installations where multiple spirals can be staggered at different heights. The 920mm drop suits void spaces where a longer pendant won't interfere with head clearance at ground level. The chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and conceals the cable run within the spiral's central axis.

The polished chrome finish provides a mirror-like reflective surface that amplifies both the GU10's direct light and the refracted light from the crystals. The spiral formation uses thin metal wires to suspend each crystal droplet, keeping the overall structure visually light despite the 1.9kg weight. Pairing the Colorado with a warm-white GU10 LED (2700K-3000K) softens the crystal refraction, while a cool-white bulb (4000K+) creates sharper, more defined highlights.

What bulb does it take?

The Colorado takes a single GU10 bulb up to 50W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use a 4-6W GU10 LED in either warm white (2700K-3000K) for softer refraction or cool white (4000K+) for sharper highlights through the crystals.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if paired with a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself supports dimming, but the dimmer must match the bulb type (LED dimmers for LED GU10s, halogen dimmers for halogen GU10s).

What ceiling height is needed?

The 920mm drop suits ceiling heights above 3m, typically in double-height entrance halls, stairwells or voids where the pendant can hang without interfering with head clearance at ground level. In lower ceilings the spiral may hang too close to floor level.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Isolate the power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Wipe each crystal droplet gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal wires or the canopy, and do not use household sprays or polishes.
