Colorado 9 Light Multi-Spiral Crystal Cluster Pendant - Polished Chrome

The Colorado is a 9-light crystal cluster pendant built around a spiral arrangement of faceted crystal strands suspended from a 650mm polished chrome canopy. Each of the nine GU10 lamp positions sits inside the spiral structure at different heights, with crystal strands descending 2020mm from canopy to lowest point in a helical formation that creates visual movement as you walk around the fitting.

Designed for staircases, double-height entrance halls and voids above open-plan living areas with ceiling heights of 4m or above, the Colorado requires substantial vertical clearance to accommodate its full 2m drop. The spiral formation means the crystal density varies as you move around the pendant — from one angle the strands align into a near-solid column of crystal, from another they separate into distinct helical threads. The polished chrome canopy reflects light back up onto the ceiling while the faceted crystal refracts it outward and downward into the room.

The 15.2kg combined weight of the chrome frame and crystal strands requires a ceiling fixing capable of supporting at least 20kg — most domestic ceiling joists and commercial voids can accommodate this, but the installation should be checked by a qualified electrician before fitting. The pendant accepts nine GU10 bulbs (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED or halogen, warm or cool white, and total wattage between 27W (9 x 3W LED) and 450W (9 x 50W halogen) depending on the light output needed for the space.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 2020mm drop means the lowest crystal strands hang approximately 2m below the ceiling. For a typical clearance of 2.2m from floor to pendant base, you need a ceiling height of at least 4.2m. Lower ceiling heights will leave insufficient headroom beneath the pendant.

What bulbs does it take?

The pendant takes nine GU10 bulbs, sold separately. Most installations use 3W-5W warm white LED GU10s for a combined output of 27W-45W. The maximum is 50W per socket, allowing up to 450W total if using halogen bulbs, though this is rarely needed and generates significant heat.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if you fit dimmable GU10 bulbs and pair them with a compatible GU10 dimmer switch. Not all LED GU10 bulbs are dimmable — check the bulb packaging before purchasing.

How is the crystal cleaned?

The crystal strands can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth while the pendant is switched off and cool. For heavier dust buildup, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal fittings or getting water into the lamp sockets. The height of the pendant means cleaning may require a ladder or scaffold tower.
