Designed for double-height entrance halls, stairwells and dining spaces with ceiling heights of 3m or above, the Colorado pairs functional downlighting with decorative crystal refraction. The seven GU10 fittings direct light downward through the crystal mass, while the faceted beads scatter additional light laterally across walls and adjacent surfaces. The 650mm canopy diameter suits spaces 4-6m wide where a substantial ceiling feature is needed without blocking sightlines.

What ceiling height is needed for the Colorado?

The 1000mm drop from canopy to lowest crystal point means the pendant works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 3m or above. In a double-height entrance hall or stairwell with 4-5m ceiling height, the Colorado sits comfortably in the vertical space without overwhelming the room.

What GU10 bulbs should I use?

The Colorado takes seven GU10 bulbs up to 50W each, sold separately. Most installations use 5-7W LED GU10 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient light, or daylight (4000K) for task-focused installations in commercial settings. Dimmable GU10 LEDs are required if pairing with a dimmer switch.

Is the crystal mass adjustable?

No. The crystal strands are factory-set at 1000mm drop and cannot be shortened on site. The configuration creates a wave or waterfall effect with the densest crystal mass at the base, thinning toward the canopy.

How is the 18kg weight supported?

The Colorado requires a ceiling rose or direct joist fixing capable of supporting at least 20kg to allow a safety margin. Standard plasterboard fixings are not suitable. If installing onto a suspended ceiling or plasterboard-only surface, a load-bearing mounting plate fixed to the structural ceiling above is required.
