The Colorado is a 10-light corkscrew crystal cluster pendant built around a central chrome core from which strands of precision-cut crystal beads spiral downward in a helical formation. The 650mm-diameter polished chrome canopy anchors the structure at ceiling level, with the corkscrew extending 2000mm below. Each of the 10 GU10 bulb holders sits embedded within the spiral at different heights, lighting the crystal strands from multiple internal positions.

Designed for double-height entrance halls, stairwells and large open-plan living spaces with ceiling heights of 3.5m or above, the Colorado uses vertical space to create sculptural presence. The corkscrew formation means the pendant occupies a 650mm circular footprint when viewed from below, but the crystal strands spiral outward as they descend, creating movement and refracted light from every viewing angle. The polished chrome finish on the canopy and internal framework reflects and multiplies the light output from the 10 GU10 bulbs.

Each crystal strand is threaded onto stainless steel wires that maintain tension and alignment as the beads spiral around the core. The combined weight of the chrome framework and crystal assembly is 21.9kg, requiring secure fixing to a ceiling joist or mounting block capable of supporting this load. The GU10 lamp holders accept any standard GU10 bulb up to 50W (bulbs sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen, or specialist dimmable bulbs depending on the desired light output and colour temperature.

The corkscrew structure means the pendant presents differently depending on viewing position — from directly below it appears as concentric rings of crystal, while from the side it shows the full helical sweep. What ceiling height is needed for the Colorado?

With a 2000mm drop, the pendant requires a minimum ceiling height of approximately 3.5m to avoid the bottom of the corkscrew hanging below typical head height in circulation areas. Higher ceilings of 4-5m allow the full sculptural form to be appreciated from ground level.

Is the pendant dimmable?

Yes, provided dimmable GU10 bulbs are used. The pendant itself does not include dimming circuitry — dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulbs chosen and the dimmer switch installed on the circuit.

How is the 21.9kg weight supported?
