Description

The Collier is a 483mm diameter flush ceiling light with a heritage brass frame holding a shallow etched glass bowl underneath. Three E27 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the bowl, diffusing light through the frosted glass to provide ambient illumination without glare. The brass frame features three decorative cast knobs positioned around the circumference, a nod to mid-century American lighting design from Hinkley's heritage collection.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low, the Collier sits just 165mm below the ceiling once fitted. This makes it suitable for hallways, bedrooms, low-ceilinged living rooms and period properties where ceiling height is constrained but a decorative fitting is still wanted. The 483mm diameter provides enough spread to light a room of 12-16m², depending on bulb choice and ceiling colour.

The heritage brass finish is a warm antique tone with subtle darkening in the recesses of the cast knobs, giving the appearance of aged brass rather than bright polished metal. The etched glass bowl conceals the bulbs from direct view when standing beneath the fitting, so the light source itself remains hidden while the glow spreads evenly across the ceiling and down into the room. The glass is held in place by a threaded collar that unscrews for bulb access.
