Description

The Collar is a 14.7cm diameter LED pendant light constructed from four stacked glass spheres threaded onto a central gold-finished metal column, suspended from a matching gold canopy. The spheres alternate between clear cast glass with vertical ribbing, smooth frosted white blown glass, and textured geometric glass, each housing or framing sections of the integrated 17W LED strip that runs through the core.

Designed for entrance halls, stairwells and dining areas with ceiling heights between 2.6m and 3.7m, the Collar provides vertical accent lighting rather than wide-area illumination. The 59-169cm adjustable drop allows the pendant to be positioned at the optimal height for the space, with the glass spheres creating layered visual interest when viewed from any angle. The gold canopy is approximately 10cm in diameter and fits standard UK ceiling roses.

The integrated 17W 3000K LED emits warm white light through the glass layers, creating highlights and shadows as the light passes through the alternating transparent, frosted and textured surfaces. The vertical ribs on the cast glass sections refract the light into subtle patterns on nearby walls. The slim 14.7cm profile means multiple Collar pendants can be grouped in a line or cluster without overwhelming narrow hallways or over-table positions.

The acrylic diffuser housing the LED strip sits within the metal column, protected by the glass spheres. The IP20 rating limits the Collar to dry indoor locations. The gold finish is a warm yellow-toned metal coating that pairs with brass hardware, warm wood tones and cream or ivory wall colours.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop ranges from 59cm to 169cm. For entrance halls and stairwells, a ceiling height of at least 2.6m is recommended at minimum drop. The maximum 169cm drop suits ceiling heights of 3.7m or above, common in Victorian or Edwardian hallways.

Can multiple Collar pendants be grouped?

Yes. The 14.7cm diameter allows multiple pendants to be hung in a row over a dining table or console, or clustered at varying heights in a stairwell. Space them at least 30-40cm apart centre-to-centre to avoid visual crowding.

How is the glass cleaned?

The glass spheres can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth. For the textured geometric glass, a barely-damp cloth may be needed to reach into the surface pattern. Avoid spraying cleaning products directly onto the glass near the metal fittings or LED housing.
