Description

The Collar is a vertical suspension pendant light built around four stacked glass spheres on a chrome stem, with an integrated 17W 3000K LED running through the centre. Each sphere serves a different visual and light-diffusing function: the top sphere is clear glass with vertical ribbed patterning, the second is smooth clear glass, the third is frosted white blown glass, and the bottom sphere is smoked grey with a geometric diamond-cut pattern. The LED light source inside the acrylic diffuser core illuminates all four spheres simultaneously, creating layered light through different textures and opacities.

Designed for dining tables, hallways and stairwells where vertical space allows, the Collar sits on a slender 14.7cm diameter footprint but uses a 169cm maximum drop to give visual height. The suspension cable is adjustable down to 59cm minimum height during installation, making it suitable for standard 2.4m ceiling heights when shortened or taller spaces when extended. The four-sphere arrangement creates a column of light that works as both ambient and decorative illumination in contemporary, mid-century and transitional interiors.

Each glass sphere is individually hand-blown or cast, so there is slight variation in the patterning and tone between pieces. The chrome canopy and stem provide a cool metallic frame that contrasts with the warm 3000K LED output. The textured clear glass at top and bottom catches and refracts light outward, while the frosted sphere in the third position diffuses a softer glow. The smoked grey bottom sphere adds weight to the composition and creates a visual anchor at eye level when the pendant is set at dining-table height.
