Description

The Collar is a single-drop pendant light built around three stacked glass globes separated by gold-finished metallic collars, suspended from a matching gold ceiling rose. An integrated 16W LED strip runs through the acrylic core, casting 3000K warm-white light outward through the glass. The three globes differ in finish — the top globe is ribbed clear glass, the middle globe is textured clear glass with geometric faceting, and the lower globe is frosted white blown glass — creating three distinct light diffusion zones down the vertical axis.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands, hallways and bedside positions, the Collar suits rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.6m. The total drop is adjustable between 47cm and 157cm on installation, allowing the pendant to be positioned 60-90cm above a dining surface or work island depending on ceiling height. The narrow 14.7cm diameter profile keeps the visual footprint compact while the stacked globe structure provides vertical interest. The gold metallic finish on the collars and canopy pairs with brass, copper and warm-toned metal fixtures.

Each glass globe is individually blown and fitted onto the central metal stem, with the gold collars acting as both decorative accent and structural support between elements. The acrylic diffuser inside the core prevents LED hotspots and distributes the light evenly through all three glass layers. The IP20 rating limits the Collar to dry indoor locations — living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways — and excludes bathroom zones. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but rated for typical LED lifespan of 15,000-25,000 hours.

Is the LED dimmable?

The integrated 16W LED is not listed as dimmable in the specification. Attempting to fit a standard trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer may cause flickering or damage to the driver. If dimming is essential, contact Maytoni or Niori before purchase to confirm compatibility.

What ceiling height is needed?

The pendant drop is adjustable between 47cm minimum and 157cm maximum. For a dining table or kitchen island, position the lowest globe 60-90cm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.6m. Lower ceilings can use the minimum 47cm drop setting.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the Collar to dry indoor locations only. It cannot be installed in bathroom zones where moisture or steam is present.

How is the gold finish maintained?

Wipe the gold metallic collars and canopy with a dry microfibre cloth. For the glass globes, use a glass cleaner on a cloth rather than spraying directly onto the fitting to avoid liquid entering the LED housing. Clean the pendant when switched off and cool.
