Description

The Colette is a 60cm circular pendant light with a polished chrome frame holding an opal silicone diffuser strip that runs the full circumference of the ring. The integrated 54W LED produces 4,860 lumens at 3000K warm white, casting even ambient light downwards and outwards through the opal diffuser. The fitting includes a remote control for dimming and switching, removing the need for mains dimmer compatibility.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways, dining areas and open-plan living spaces where a central pendant provides general illumination without fixture bulk, the Colette sits between 50cm and 115cm below the ceiling on adjustable suspension cables. The 60cm diameter works in rooms from 3m x 3m upwards, providing sufficient spread for ambient light without dominating smaller ceilings. The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light and pairs with cool-toned and neutral interiors, while the continuous ring shape gives even light distribution across the area beneath.

The 54W LED output equals approximately 430W of incandescent light, making this suitable as a primary light source rather than accent lighting. The remote control allows stepless dimming from full brightness down to a low glow for evening use, controlled from anywhere in the room without needing to wire a mains dimmer switch. Is the Colette dimmable and does it need a mains dimmer switch?

Yes, the Colette is fully dimmable using the included remote control. You do not need to install a mains dimmer switch — the remote provides stepless dimming control from full brightness down to a low glow, operated from anywhere in the room.

What room size does the 60cm diameter suit?

The 60cm circular diameter works in rooms from approximately 3m x 3m upwards. In spaces smaller than 3m x 3m the fitting may feel visually dominant, while in rooms larger than 5m x 5m it may not provide sufficient spread as a sole light source.

Can the drop height be adjusted during installation?

Yes. The suspension cables allow the pendant to hang between 50cm and 115cm below the ceiling. The height is set during installation and can be altered later by accessing the ceiling rose and adjusting the cable length.

What fixing is needed for plasterboard ceilings?

Gravity toggles are included with the fitting for plasterboard ceiling installation. The 1.8kg weight requires secure fixing into either a ceiling joist or a properly rated plasterboard anchor if installing between joists.
