Description

The Colette is a 47cm semi-flush ceiling light built around three looped chrome arms with opal silicone diffusers, powered by an integrated 37W 3000K LED. The chrome loops spiral from a central ceiling plate, each enclosing a continuous opal silicone band that houses the LED ribbon inside. The light passes through the silicone and reflects off the polished chrome inner surface, diffusing evenly across ceilings without harsh glare.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways and living rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards, the Colette works as main lighting in spaces up to 12m². The 16cm drop from ceiling to lowest point suits standard residential ceiling heights, and the fixture operates on a 0-10V dimmable driver, allowing brightness adjustment from full 37W output down to near-zero when paired with a compatible 0-10V dimmer switch (dimmer sold separately). The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor areas only.

The chrome finish is a mirror-polished electroplated surface over aluminium substrate, giving a reflective silver appearance that suits contemporary and modern interiors. The opal silicone diffusers resist yellowing over time better than acrylic alternatives and remain flexible, reducing the risk of cracking during cleaning or accidental impact. At 1.58kg the fitting requires secure fixing into a ceiling joist or use of the supplied gravity toggles for plasterboard installations.

Is the Colette dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED operates on a 0-10V dimmable driver. You will need a compatible 0-10V dimmer switch to control brightness, which is different from standard trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmers used with traditional bulbs. Dimmer switches are sold separately.

What room size does it suit?

The 37W output at 3000K suits rooms up to approximately 12m² as main lighting. For larger rooms or spaces needing brighter task lighting, consider pairing with additional fittings or task lamps.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is only suitable for dry indoor areas. Bathrooms require a minimum IP44 rating for zones 1 and 2, and this fitting does not meet that requirement.

How is it fitted to a plasterboard ceiling?

The fitting includes gravity toggles in the box for plasterboard installation. If your ceiling has accessible joists, fixing directly into timber provides the most secure installation for the 1.58kg weight.
