Description
This resin table lamp takes the form of a coiled dragon wrapped around a castle tower, its wings folded high above the turret and its long, spined tail winding down past the battlements. The detail runs all over it: overlapping scales along the body, curved claws gripping the stonework, a horned head peering over the parapet, and courses of brickwork reaching right down to the round, crenellated base. When the lamp is on, the arched window in the tower glows, lighting the figure from within. The finish is an antique silver metallic effect, deeper in the recesses so every scale and brick stands out. It is 28.5cm tall and 12cm across and deep.
Because it runs on batteries, there is no flex to hide and no socket to find, so it can go wherever it looks best: a bookshelf, a mantelpiece, a desk or a bedside table. At 12cm across it fits easily on a narrow shelf between books. It is made for dry rooms indoors, and it suits a reading nook, a study or a bedroom with a fantasy or gothic feel, where the lit window catches the eye as the evening draws in. Switched off, it still reads as a detailed sculpture, so it earns its place on the shelf by day as well.
The lamp is made of resin, which holds fine detail well, from the texture of each scale to the edges of the tower's stones. To keep it looking its best, dust it with a soft dry cloth or a soft brush that reaches into the scales and brickwork, and keep water and household sprays away from it. When the glow begins to fade, it is time for fresh batteries. Set it at the end of a row of well-thumbed hardbacks and the dragon looks as though it has settled in to guard them; it also makes a memorable gift.

How big is the dragon tower table lamp?
It is 28.5cm tall and 12cm across and 12cm deep, a comfortable size for a shelf, desk, mantelpiece or bedside table.
Does the lamp need to be plugged in?
No, it runs on batteries, so there is no flex or plug and you can place it anywhere indoors without needing a nearby socket.
What is the dragon lamp made of?
It is made of resin with an antique silver metallic effect finish, which brings out the fine detail of the dragon's scales and the tower's brickwork.
Can I use this lamp in a bathroom?
It is for dry rooms indoors, so we would keep it on a shelf, desk or table well away from bathrooms, steam and splashes.
How do I clean the dragon tower lamp?
Dust it gently with a soft dry cloth or a soft brush, which reaches into the scales and brick detail, and keep water and household sprays away from it.
Is it a lamp or an ornament?
Both: it is a detailed dragon and castle tower figure, and the arched window in the tower lights up, so it works as a decoration by day and a glowing piece by night.
