Description

The Hinkley Coastal is a compact outdoor wall lantern with a tapered metal shade in architectural bronze, housing a single GU10 LED bulb (included). The shade directs light downward in a controlled cone, making it suited to pathway illumination, back door positions, garage entrances and porch walls where downlighting reduces glare and limits light pollution.

Rated IP44 for use under covered outdoor positions such as porches, eaves and canopies, the lantern measures 154mm high, 127mm wide and projects 161mm from the wall. The flat square backplate fixes to standard outdoor electrical boxes and the modest projection keeps the fitting from protruding into narrow walkways. The bronze finish carries a low-sheen, textured surface that resists showing fingerprints and water marks, and pairs well with timber cladding, stone or brick facades.

The tapered shade form gives the lantern a contemporary profile without the hard geometry of purely angular designs. The architectural bronze tone sits between dark brown and charcoal grey, offering a warmer alternative to matt black while maintaining a neutral presence that does not dominate the facade. The IP44 rating means the lantern is protected against splashing water from any direction, but it is designed for covered positions under eaves, porches or canopies. Fully exposed positions (wall-mounted with no overhead cover) benefit from IP65 or higher ratings.
