Description

The Clip is a 280mm wall light with a white blown glass diffuser mounted on a chromed metal frame, housing two G9 bulb fittings. The oval-shaped glass shade sits flush against the wall with a 65mm projection from the wall surface, making it a low-profile option for spaces where depth is limited. The chrome frame provides structural support and a reflective accent that contrasts with the matt white glass.

Designed for hallways, bedroom walls, and living spaces with low ceilings or restricted wall depth, the Clip delivers ambient wash lighting rather than task illumination. The white blown glass diffuses the light output from both G9 bulbs, softening hotspots and spreading an even glow across the wall surface and into the room. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The 280mm length covers a larger wall area than typical single-bulb wall lights, while the 65mm projection keeps the fitting close to the wall plane. The chrome finish on the frame picks up and reflects ambient light during the day, giving the fitting a presence even when switched off. The twin G9 configuration provides sufficient output for functional lighting in narrow hallways or as supplementary ambient lighting in larger rooms.

Frequently Asked

What bulbs does the Clip take?

The fitting takes two G9 capsule bulbs (sold separately). Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs between 2W-4W and 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light. G9 halogen bulbs are also compatible but run hotter and consume more energy.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, the fitting is rated as dimmable. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific G9 bulb chosen — look for bulbs marked 'dimmable' and check they are compatible with your dimmer switch model before fitting.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. For bathrooms, look for wall lights with an IP44 rating or higher.

How is the glass diffuser cleaned?

Wipe the white blown glass with a dry microfibre cloth when the fitting is switched off and cool. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with clean water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the glass or allowing moisture to reach the bulb sockets.
