Clio Oval LED Bulkhead - White IP66

The Clio is a 330mm oval LED bulkhead with a white resin body and a translucent polycarbonate diffuser, rated IP66 for full dust and water-jet protection. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately) and is designed for outdoor wall mounting or humid indoor environments where conventional fittings would deteriorate. Four recessed fixings on the outer rim allow surface mounting to brick, block or rendered walls.

Designed for exterior building perimeters, patio walls, covered walkways, garden sheds, and damp indoor spaces such as plant rooms or unheated garages, the Clio combines weatherproofing with a clean oval profile that suits both residential and light commercial applications. The IP66 rating protects against prolonged rain, garden sprinklers, and pressure washing, while the resin construction resists corrosion from fertilisers, salts and general outdoor exposure. The fitting is rated for operation between -60°C and +90°C, covering UK winter lows and direct summer sun on south-facing walls.

The white resin is UV-stabilised to resist yellowing over years of outdoor exposure, and the polycarbonate diffuser softens the light output from the E27 bulb to reduce glare. The 230mm projection gives enough stand-off from the wall to distribute light evenly without creating harsh downward shadows. The 5-year warranty covers resin degradation, seal failure and UV discolouration under normal outdoor use in the UK climate.

What bulb does it take and is it included?

The Clio takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to the maximum wattage shown in the Specification table. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 10-15W LED bulb in either warm white (2700K-3000K) or cool white (4000K-6000K) depending on application.

Can it be used indoors?

Yes. While designed primarily for outdoor use, the IP66 rating makes the Clio suitable for humid or unheated indoor spaces such as plant rooms, garages, utility rooms, and commercial storerooms where moisture or temperature extremes would damage standard fittings.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming capability depends on the bulb used, not the fitting itself. If you install a dimmable LED bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch, the fitting will dim. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if connected to a dimmer circuit.

How is it cleaned and maintained?

Wipe the resin body and polycarbonate diffuser with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt or salt deposits, use a mild detergent solution and rinse with clean water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or high-pressure washing directly on the diffuser seal, as this may compromise the IP66 rating over time.
