Description

The Clinvessa is a two light spotlight bar in a clean white finish, made from steel and plastic. A slim bar 30cm long, 4.5cm wide and 7.5cm high carries two spot heads on short chrome coloured stems, and each head angles on its own so you can point the light exactly where it is needed. It takes two GU10 bulbs at a maximum of 5W each. The bulbs are not included, which leaves you free to choose the shade of white light that suits the room. It is rated IP20, and that settles where it lives: indoors, in dry rooms only, so it is not one for a bathroom or for outdoors.

Two adjustable spots on one bar make this a practical answer wherever a single central light leaves corners in shadow. We like it in a hallway, where one head can wash a picture or a mirror while the other lights the passage. It suits a living room or bedroom too, where you can aim one spot at a reading chair and the other at a bookshelf, and it works well in a study over a desk. The white finish blends into a pale room, so the light does the work and the fitting stays quiet.

The body is steel and plastic, finished in white, with the chrome coloured stems adding a small touch of metal. There is no switch on the fitting itself: it is switched at the wall, so it runs from the ordinary light switch in the room. It works on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and, as a wired in light, it is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download. When you buy bulbs, choose GU10 bulbs of 5W or less and pick a matching pair, so both spots give the same colour of light.
