Description

The Cliffbourne Zigzag teams a stepped metal base with a 16cm Zigzag shade in digitally printed faux silk, adding a little more colour and pattern to the design. The gathered, tapered shade has taped edge detailing and a plain inner lining. The lamp stands 380mm tall with a 160mm shade and weighs 0.7kg. It takes a single E14 bulb up to 7W, works with E14 LED bulbs, and is operated by an inline switch on a 1.5 metre black cable.

The patterned shade makes the Zigzag a good accent for bedrooms and living rooms, on a bedside table, shelf or console. It throws a warm, soft light through the fabric and adds interest to a corner even when switched off. A low-wattage E14 LED bulb keeps running costs down while giving a gentle background glow. The inline switch on the cable keeps it easy to operate without a nearby wall control, so you can place it wherever suits the room rather than the wiring.

Both versions use an antique bronze base, paired with the Zigzag shade in either apricot orange or Cotswold green. The tapered shade is handmade with a gathered, pleated finish, taped edges and a plain inner lining that keeps the light soft. It is Class 2 double insulated, so no earth is needed, and IP20 rated for dry indoor rooms. Dust the shade with a soft dry brush and wipe the base with a soft cloth, keeping damp and abrasive cleaners away.
