Description
This is a clear glass GLS bulb, the rounded, pear-like shape most of us imagine when we think of a light bulb. Inside, slim LED filaments stand in a ring around a central glass stem, so it keeps the look of an old-style filament lamp while running on LED technology. It has an E27 screw cap and gives 806lm of warm white light from 7W, with an energy class of E.
Because the glass is clear, the filaments become part of the look. That makes this bulb a good choice wherever it is on view: an open pendant, a bare cord set, a wire cage shade or a glass lantern. The E27 cap is the large standard screw cap found in a great many table lamps, floor lamps and ceiling pendants. It suits anyone replacing a tired bulb or moving an older lamp over to LED. With 806lm, it gives a generous everyday level of light for a living room, bedroom, hallway or kitchen, and the warm white tone keeps a room feeling relaxed through the evening.
There is little to the construction beyond what you can see: clear glass, the filament LEDs and a silver-toned metal screw cap. The clear finish means there is no frosting to soften the light, so expect a crisper sparkle and some glare if you look straight at the bulb. In a shade, or in a lampholder set above eye level, that matters less. To keep it bright, wipe the glass with a soft, dry cloth once it is switched off and cool. Before you order, check that your lamp or pendant takes an E27 screw cap.
